Bitwise Announces Results of February 2023 Month-End Crypto Index Reconstitution

Stargate (STG) enters the Ball Multicoin Bitwise Metaverse Index; no changes to Bitwise 10 Large Cap Crypto Index or Bitwise Decentralized Finance Crypto Index.

Bitwise Index Services, the indexing subsidiary of Bitwise Asset Management, today announced the results of the monthly reconstitution of the Bitwise Crypto Indexes, which took place on February 28, 2023, at 4 p.m. ET.

The Bitwise 10 Large Cap Crypto Index had no changes as a result of the February 28, 2023 reconstitution. As of February 28, 2023 at 4 p.m. ET, the Bitwise 10 Large Cap Crypto Index held the following constituents: 63.70% Bitcoin (BTC), 27.81% Ethereum (ETH), 1.76% Cardano (ADA), 1.51% Polygon (MATIC), 1.19% Solana (SOL), 1.09% Polkadot (DOT), 0.97% Litecoin (LTC), 0.77% Avalanche (AVAX), 0.70% Uniswap (UNI), and 0.51% Cosmos (ATOM).

The Bitwise Decentralized Finance Crypto Index had no changes as a result of the February 28, 2023 reconstitution. As of February 28, 2023 at 4 p.m. ET, the Bitwise Decentralized Finance Crypto Index held the following constituents: 41.08% Uniswap (UNI), 21.87% Lido DAO (LDO), 9.33% Aave (AAVE), 6.13% Curve DAO Token (CRV), 5.88% Maker (MKR), 3.79% Convex Finance (CVX), 3.69% Loopring (LRC), 2.97% Compound (COMP), 2.84% Yearn Finance (YFI), and 2.41% SushiSwap (SUSHI).

The Bitwise 10 ex Bitcoin Large Cap Crypto Index had no changes as a result of the February 28, 2023 reconstitution. As of February 28, 2023 at 4 p.m. ET, the Bitwise 10 ex Bitcoin Large Cap Crypto Index held the following constituents: 76.59% Ethereum (ETH), 4.85% Cardano (ADA), 4.15% Polygon (MATIC), 3.27% Solana (SOL), 3.01% Polkadot (DOT), 2.66% Litecoin (LTC), 2.12% Avalanche (AVAX), 1.93% Uniswap (UNI), and 1.41% Cosmos (ATOM).

The Bitwise Crypto Indexes are reconstituted on a monthly basis according to the rules of the Bitwise Crypto Index Methodology as applied by the Bitwise Crypto Index Committee. Minutes of the February 2023 Bitwise Crypto Index Committee meeting are publicly available here.

The Ball Multicoin Bitwise Metaverse Index reconstitutes in February, May, August, and November, and had the following changes as a result of the February 28, 2023 reconstitution: Stargate Finance entered, and NEAR Protocol and Audius exited. As of February 28, 2023, at 4 p.m. ET, the Ball Multicoin Bitwise Metaverse Index had 24 constituents. The following were the 10 largest constituents of the Ball Multicoin Bitwise Metaverse Index: 13.42% Ethereum (ETH), 9.36% Solana (SOL), 7.81% Filecoin (FIL), 7.81% Chainlink (LINK), 7.76% Graph Protocol (GRT), 7.52% Polygon (MATIC), 6.67% Binance Coin (BNB), 6.67% Uniswap (UNI), 5.96% Render (RNDR), and 3.84% Avalanche (AVAX). The Bitwise Crypto Innovators 30 Index of equities reconstitutes quarterly and as a result had no changes as a result of the February 28, 2023 reconstitution. As of February 28, 2023 at 4 p.m. ET, the following were the 10 largest constituents of the Bitwise Crypto Innovators 30 Index: 11.51% Coinbase Global (COIN), 10.73% MicroStrategy (MSTR), 9.20% Galaxy Digital Holdings (GLXY CN), 5.18% Bitfarms (BITF), 5.03% Hut 8 Mining (HUT CN), 4.88% HIVE Blockchain Technologies (HIVE CN), 4.81% Northern Data (NB2 GB), 4.80% Riot Platforms (RIOT), 4.78% Applied Blockchain (APLD), and 4.07% Canaan Inc. (EQIX), 5.71% Unity Software (U), 5.36% Cloudflare Inc. (NET), 4.86% Block Inc. (SQ), 4.36% Robinhood Markets Inc. (HOOD), 4.35% Take-Two Interactive Software (TTWO), 3.62% Electronic Arts (EA), and 3.35% Akamai Technologies Inc. (AKAM).
