Crypto Market Review (Q4 2026)

Q3 2026 was one of the best quarters in crypto’s history.

Three months ago, prices, onchain activity, and ETF flows were all falling. Since then, nearly every fundamental indicator we track has turned sharply higher.

Among the highlights:

  • The Bitwise 10 Large Cap Crypto Index—which tracks the 10 largest crypto assets—rose 46.39%, with all ten constituents posting double-digit gains.

  • Tokenized stocks soared 65.5% to a new all-time high near $3.2 billion, as Robinhood, Coinbase, and others entered the space.

  • Spot bitcoin ETFs took in roughly $6 billion, including $3.5 billion in August alone, flipping year-to-date net flows back to positive.

  • Open interest on decentralized perpetual futures exchanges hit a record near $26 billion, with a growing share tied to stocks, commodities, FX, and pre-IPO shares.

Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan sums up the environment: “I’ve been operating in the crypto space for almost a decade, and I have never seen as much real-world adoption as I’m seeing today. That's exactly what you want to see if you're looking for the start of a crypto spring.”

The Bitwise Crypto Market Review (Q4 2026) tells the story in 67 charts and tables, covering market performance, onchain fundamentals, tokenized stocks, crypto equities, ETP flows, portfolio construction, and adoption.
